Škoda Auto’s operating profit grows to EUR 911m in H1 2023

Czech motor vehicle manufacturer Škoda Auto saw its operating profit rise to EUR 911 million in the first half of 2023 from EUR 676 million a year earlier, the Czech Information Agency (CIA) reported referring to Volkswagen Group's mid-year report.

The good result in 2023 was explained with a favourable sales volume and price developments. Yet, the development of exchange rates and production costs and the Group's withdrawal from Russia had a negative impact.

The carmaker's sales for the first six months of 2023 rose to EUR 13.7 billion from EUR 10.2 billion a year earlier, CIA noted.
