Meat production to rise to 29.6mn tonnes in 2023

According to forecast from the National Supply Company, Conab, Brazilian meat industry will produce 29.6 million(mn) tonnes of meat during 2023.

For Conab, these numbers aim to be highest production volume ever recorded. The increase is led by pork production, which is expected to see a 2.7% raise to 5.32mn tonnes.

Furthermore, the meat that is predetermined to be sold in the domestic market will increase 2.4% to 20.44mn tonnes. Exports are also forecasted to raise.
